I like to move. I like to breathe deeply. I like to remember that there is a greater connection to all things, to ourselves, to each other. Yoga nourishes these aspects of life, so it makes sense that I'm naturally drawn to it as a practice, as a path. I was first introduced to yoga in 1993 and became a student of Asthanga in 1996, which I have been practicing ever since. It's a way to cultivate presence and balance both on the mat, and in life. Having had the good fortune of journeying to India and studying with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois (Guruji) and R. Sharath, it is my intention to share the Ashtanga tradition, as I have learned it, and the infinite gifts of yoga.
I received my certification from the Guild for Structural Integration in Boulder, Colorado in 2002 and have completed the basic training for CranioSacral sessions. Both are natural compliments to the practice of yoga; and all entice my curiosity, inspiration, and joy.
I'm currently living in the scenic, coastal city of Portland, Maine – and loving it!

"With humility and devotion I hope to share what has been given to
me by my teachers and deepened through study with countless others along
the way. My sincerest gratitude to Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, R. Sharath, Tias
Little, Annie Pace, Dena Kingsberg, Tim Miller, Richard Freeman, David Swenson,
and Peter Melchior and Emmett Hutchins."
